The show SYNDESIS (Connections) of ERT1* made a tribute to Nafplio and invited me to be their guide in the old town. It was a nice experience! They were mostly intrested in the architecture of the town.we ended at filelinos square where there are many splendid neo-classical buildings , among which the building which today houses the town hall stands out. Next to this, at 32 Vasileos Konstadinou Street, is the pharmacy which belonged to the Italian Philhellene, Bonifatsio Bonafin, who embalmed the body of the murdered governor, Ioannis Kopadistrias. It was the first pharmacy in the newly formed Greek state until 1972 then he goes to church until it is redeemed by the Municipality of Nafplio. Today it is a commercial store and we expect its utilization and historical promotion by the municipality in the near future. Another important neoclassical building near the pharmacy is the current town hall, originally the first high school for boys during Otto in 1833. * The Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation is the state-owned public radio and television broadcaster for Greece.
